Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has suffered a minor flexion problem and will therefore not start against Udinese on Monday, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Italy international Bastoni trained separately from the rest of the squad on Friday due to flexor muscle fatigue, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport will not start against Udinese on Monday evening. Tests carried out on the former Parma and Atalanta defender on Friday ruled out injury, but Simone Inzaghi and the Inter doctors are taking no chances, so Bastoni will not feature in the starting XI against Udinese. It remains to be seen whether the Italian international will rejoin his team-mates in Udine or remain at the Pinetina to complete his recovery. According to Gazzetta, either Carlos Augusto or Yann Aurel Bisseck will replace Bastoni in Inter’s three-man defence at Bluenergy Stadium on Monday.
