It’s already the winter mercato. It’s time for clubs to express their demands on the market. Al Shabab, one of Saudi Arabia’s top clubs, has set its sights on Matteo Politano. The club has submitted a concrete offer to Napoli, which is currently being studied. For their part, the Azzurri are hoping to extend the Italian midfielder’s contract.

Since last summer, Saudi Pro League outfit Al Shabab have shown an interest in Matteo Politano. This winter, the Saudi team is back at it again. According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the reigning Italian champions have been offered €12 million. For the player himself, the annual emoluments would be 7 million euros, 3 more than his salary at Napoli. His agent and the Partenopei president are due to meet in the next few days to discuss the matter. On the other hand, the option of renewal is not out of the question. The player’s contract expires in 2025, and the club hopes to extend it until 2027.
