Agreement reached, renewal imminent for Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Following the renewals of Matteo Damian, Henrik Mkhitaryan and Federico Dimarco, Inter are moving up a gear. Captain Lautaro Martinez now appears to be involved. The two parties have already reached an agreement, and the formalization is imminent.

In today’s edition, the Gazzetta Dello Sport reports an agreement between Inter Milan and Lautaro Martinez for his renewal. The Argentinian centre-forward is set to see his contract with the Lombardy club extended by two years. He will therefore remain at the club until 2028. This extension will also have an impact on his salary. The reigning World Champion will enjoy a significant increase in salary. His annual salary will rise from 6 million to 8 million. All the details of the contract have already been worked out. The media source reports that the official announcement should take place in the first half of January. Since joining the Nerazzurri in 2018, Lautaro has played 261 games, scoring 119 goals and providing 29 assists.
