AC Milan have just come off the back of a draw with Newcastle United on the opening day of the UEFA Champions League. This raises an attacking problem despite the club’s XXL recruitment. This suggests that a replacement for the aging Olivier Giroud needs to be found quickly.
At 36, Olivier Giroud remains AC Milan’s true attacking leader. The French striker is almost alone in his role as the club’s center-forward. The Rossoneri recruited Noah Okafor this summer, but he seems to be better off on the flank. Then there was Luka Jovic, who is already showing his limitations. While an assistant is essential for the former Arsenal man, Tuttosport reports that the Lombardy club are already making projections. For the time being, Jonathan David of Lille is the option. The club is expected to enter into discussions with a view to acquiring him in January.
