According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan’s results against Roma in the Europa League and Inter in Serie A will determine Stefano Pioli’s future at the San Siro, while Corriere dello Sport claims that Rossoneri directors have already met Julen Lopetegui twice.

Several sources in Italy have recently claimed that Pioli was poised to remain in charge beyond the summer, but Thursday’s defeat in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals against Roma seems to have once again cast doubt on the coach’s future at San Siro. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Pioli’s fate is strictly linked to AC Milan’s forthcoming matches against Roma and Inter. The Rossoneri visit Daniele De Rossi’s team in the Europa League quarter-finals next week, after an away Serie A match at Sassuolo, while the derby with Inter is scheduled for April 22. Disappointing results in these two matches will probably determine Pioli’s exit despite the expiry of a contract in 2025, according to Gazzetta. Il Corriere dello Sport reports that AC Milan have already met Lopetegui twice, but have yet to make a concrete offer to the Spanish tactician.
