La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that AC Milan are offering €50 million to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, and could beat Arsenal to the deal after meeting his agents.
The center-forward has been mentioned several times in recent weeks as their number one target to replace Olivier Giroud, who heads to LAFC as a free agent from July 1. There was a huge hint that something was moving fast when Sesko’s Pro Transfer agency posted a clip on their Instagram Stories showing them in Milan’s famous Galleria monument. Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that the meeting with AC Milan’s directors went well and that they might also be in the stands for tonight’s match against Cagliari at the San Siro. It is reported that the offer on the table for RB Leipzig is worth 50 million euros, which was the original release clause in his contract. However, this may no longer be enough, as his performance has seen the clause rise to 65 million euros, and it could reach 73 million euros by the end of the season.
