Stefano Pioli is reportedly considering a change of system for AC Milan when they face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
This could be a crucial result for qualification for the last 16, especially as they drew 0-0 in Germany. Borussia Dortmund top the group with seven points, followed by Paris Saint-Germain with six, AC Milan five and Newcastle United four. Rafael Leao and Noah Okafor are not expected to recover in time, so there’s still a gap in attack. Yunus Musah is suspended, as is 15-year-old striker Francesco Camarda, who must remain suspended after his red card in the UEFA Youth League. As he’s not yet 16, he probably won’t be able to sign up for the senior team at this stage either. The good news for Pioli is that Olivier Giroud is available, as his two-match suspension only applies in Serie A. And with Ruben Loftus-Cheek back from injury, Pioli is considering a change of system. AC Milan would play a 4-2-3-1 formation with Loftus-Cheek in a more advanced role, flanked by Samuel Chukwueze and Christian Pulisic.
