AC Milan are reportedly in pole position to sign French international Marcus Thuram once his contract with Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach expires at the end of the month, according to Sky Sport Germany.
Sky reports that, according to their sources, the 25-year-old has a contract offer on the table awaiting signature, which would earn him just under €5 million per season in salary terms before bonuses are included.
Thuram, who finished the 2022-23 campaign with 16 goals in 32 appearances in the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal as well as an appearance in the World Cup final, has attracted a lot of interest since news broke that he wouldn’t be extending his current contract with Gladbach, including other teams in Germany, the Premier League and his native France.
