VfB Stuttgart have been in close contact with AC Milan as the two sides discuss the terms of a deal for prolific striker Serhou Guirassy.
The Rossoneri have long been in search of a new number nine to lead their team, needing a striker to fill the void left by the imminent departure of Oliver Giroud. With Rafael Leao on the left and Christian Pulisic on the right, a central striker is needed to complete the front line. AC Milan have identified a number of options to bolster their attack, including Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, but neither would come cheap, with the former costing around €40 million and the latter priced at €70 million. La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Stuttgart representatives are currently in Italy, where the two clubs have been discussing the terms of a deal for Guirassy, who has a 17.5 million euro release clause in his contract. The price was not at the center of the talks, but rather the way in which a deal could be formulated and other details for a possible summer transfer. The 28-year-old Guinean striker has been on fire this season, scoring 30 goals and providing four assists in 30 Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal games.
