AC Milan have made an approach to Villarreal for right winger and Nigerian international Samuel Chukweze, according to several reports.
Sky Sport Italia is convinced that initial contact has been made for the player, who just turned 24 last month. He has also been linked with Real Madrid, but is seen as an effective mirror of Rafael Leao on the left in his attacking style. There’s versatility here too, as Chukweze can also play on the left if required, so could also replace Leao on occasion. His contract only runs until June 2024, and he is a product of Villarreal’s academy. There is some confusion over the asking price, with some sources indicating €20 million, while others are aiming for around double that sum. He scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 50 competitive games for Villarreal this season.
