According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are targeting RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who could become their most expensive signing ever.
They need a new striker, as Olivier Giroud has already decided to leave when his contract expires on June 30 and join Major League Soccer club LAFC. Several options have been mentioned, but it seems that they have focused on Slovenian international Sesko. La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that AC Milan are ready to invest heavily in the hitman, potentially in excess of 60 million euros. However, this may not be enough, as Sky Sports pointed out on Monday that the release clause in his contract has increased in line with performance. It is currently at 65 million euros and could reach 75 million euros, as he has already scored 16 goals and provided two assists in 40 competitive games this season. Sesko turns 21 later this month, and has also attracted Premier League interest from Arsenal.
