Injuries have forced AC Milan to look for defensive reinforcements, and they are ready to open negotiations with Chelsea and Arsenal ahead of the January mercato.

The Rossoneri have recently lost Pierre Kalulu and Marco Pellegrino to injury and cannot count on veteran Simon Kjaer, who continues to suffer from muscular problems. The situation has reduced Stefano Pioli’s options in defence, prompting the club to act. AC Milan were planning to recruit a new defender in January, but have now decided to postpone this until the summer, prompting them to start looking at possible loan options. As Daniele Longo of reports, AC Milan are preparing for an important trip to London, where they will meet Chelsea and Arsenal to start discussing possible deals. The Rossoneri are interested in Blues duo Benoit Badiashile and Malang Sarr, and could take advantage of the good relations between the two clubs’owners. AC Milan will also be meeting Arsenal to try and conclude a loan deal for Jakub Kiwior, in the hope of bringing the talented Pole back to Serie A.
