Rafael Leao’s latest medical tests have confirmed that the Milan star no longer has a thigh injury, so he will be available against Newcastle next week.
The Portuguese star has been out for almost a month with a thigh muscle injury, but is expected to return to action soon. Sky Sport Italia reports that the latest medical tests Leao underwent on Tuesday morning highlighted that the Portuguese striker has finally recovered from his injury. There is no longer any damage to his thigh, so the 24-year-old will gradually resume training at Milanello, increasing his workload over the coming days. According to the report, Leao remains in doubt for the upcoming Serie A match between AC Milan and Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium on Saturday, but will be available on Wednesday next week when the Rossoneri travel to Newcastle for the final match of the Champions League group stage. The Serie A giants must beat the Magpies and hope that Borussia Dortmund beat PSG at home to qualify for the last 16.
