AC Milan are ready to make a move for a new defender and have been in contact with the agents of Sevilla talent Tanguy Nianzou.

The Rossoneri have been hampered by numerous injuries this season, considerably reducing the options available to coach Stefano Pioli. Three defenders are currently sidelined due to physical problems: Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw. AC Milan were quiet during the January mercato, investing just 4.5 million euros in right-back Filippo Terracciano. They have also brought back Mattia Gabbia from his loan spell at Villarreal to add some cover at the back. As TMW reports, AC Milan are interested in Nianzou and held talks with his entourage this weekend, trying to explore a mid-season transfer. The 21-year-old French central defender has hardly played a game this season, having played just four La Liga games due to a frustrating hamstring injury.
