AC Milan are planning to introduce a few more first-team options during the January transfer window to fill some gaps in their squad, according to recent reports in Italy.
The Rossoneri are coming off a 0-0 draw at Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening, a result that leaves them third in their Champions League group thanks to Newcastle’s 4-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain. Calciomercato.com now reports that Stefano Pioli would still like to recruit new players in January, particularly in the wing-back and attacking positions. A new right-back would be one of the priorities, and it is highly likely that a new addition would come from the Bundesliga. AC Milan are reportedly keeping an eye on 21-year-old Frenchman Kiliann Sildillia from Freiburg, and Joe Scally, an American international currently with Borussia Moenchengladbach. At left-back, AC Milan have reportedly set their sights on Juan Miranda, 23, from Real Betis. There is also a clear target at centre-forward. Lille’s Jonathan David is greatly admired by the Rossoneri and could be the ideal striker to take the pressure off 37-year-old Olivier Giroud.
