Roma drew 1-1 with Sporting Braga in a pre-season friendly in Portugal. The Italian club’s only scorer, Stephan El Shaarawy, gave his impressions after the match. He also revealed that the upcoming season will not be an easy one for his club.
“A good match, a tough match, the real thing with a high tempo too because they’re ahead on preparation because they’re going to play games in a week. It was important today to play with good intensity and we did that well. It’s a shame about the goal we conceded in the final, but the aim now is to get back into top form for the championship,” began the Italian. He goes on to talk about how the training camp in Cristiano Ronaldo’s homeland is going. “He’s making good progress. We are working hard and very seriously. We know we have a tough season ahead of us. We want to do well and give our best at the start of the championship,” continued Stephan El Shaarawy to the Giallorossi’s official media.
