According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Joshua Zirkzee is AC Milan’s priority attacking target for 2024-25, but Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in the Bologna player.
AC Milan are expected to sign a new central striker in the January transfer window, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zirkzee is their main target, followed by RB Leipzig striker Sesko. According to the report, €40 million will not be enough to sign Zirkzee, as Bologna hope to obtain at least €75 million from his sale. This is the same transfer fee Manchester United paid to sign Rasmus Højlund last summer. However, the Rossoblu hope to keep the Dutchman’s promising forward for another season at the club if they qualify for the Champions League. Bayern Munich have a €40 million buyout option, but according to Gazzetta, they are unwilling to activate it. Consequently, AC Milan’s biggest threat in the race for Zirkzee comes from the Premier League. Manchester United have already opened preliminary talks, while Arsenal’s style of play would suit the striker’s characteristics.
